Ken Boyko is back as a Ph.D. student following a 30-year career with the U.S. Geological Survey. The 65-year-old scientist and sheep farmer is pursuing a doctoral degree in geological engineering at 亚洲影院 S&T. His research project involves working with Dr. Norbert Maerz, a professor of geological engineering and the director of the Rock Mechanics and Explosives Research Center. Maerz sought Boyko out for help with his LIDAR project, which uses light detection and ranging to predict where falling rock might impact mines or roads.
