University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº (MU) President Mun Choi has been elected chair of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities' (APLU) Commission on Food, Environment and Renewable Resources. In addition, he will serve as a member of the APLU Board of Directors. His appointment began on November 13, 2023. 

University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº-Kansas City

The Critical Materials Crossroads (CMC) - an economic development partnership between government, industry, nonprofit and academic stakeholders - is hosting a collider event on December 14th for investors, entrepreneurs, corporations looking to expand, and civic and public sector professionals to exchange supply-demand information around critical materials for critical goods, workforce requirements, capital, and the opportunities driving demand. 

ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº University of Science and Technology

ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº S&T will be hosting an EDA-sponsored strategy development workshop for the Critical Minerals and Materials for Advanced Energy Tech Hub on December 12th. This workshop will focus on strategic planning, "scaling" facility and R&D, workforce development and business and entrepreneur development.

University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº-Saint Louis

The United States is currently facing a shortage of school counselors, particularly in high-need school districts. In the face of that challenge, the College of Education at the University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº-St. Louis is deepening its commitment to increasing the number of qualified mental health professionals in schools through a new grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
