University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº Board of Curators elects officers for 2015
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Donald Cupps of Cassville was elected to a one-year term as chair of the University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº Board of Curators during the board’s December meeting in St. Louis, which concluded today. Pam Henrickson of Jefferson City was elected vice chair. The leadership terms for Cupps and Henrickson are effective January 1, 2015.
Cupps, who served this year as the board’s vice chair, succeeds Don Downing of St. Louis, whose term as chair expires Dec. 31. Cupps is currently a member of the Executive, Academic, Student and External Affairs, Compensation and Human Resources, and Finance committees. He was appointed to the Board of Curators in January 2011.
An attorney, Cupps is the senior partner at Ellis, Cupps and Cole P.C., and serves as the attorney for the city of Cassville and the Barry County Industrial Development Authority. He received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº – Columbia in 1978, and his juris doctorate from the MU School of Law in 1981.
Henrickson was appointed to the Board of Curators in January 2011. She currently serves as chair of the Audit Committee, and is also a member of the Academic, Student and External Affairs and Compensation and Human Resources Committees.
Also an attorney, Henrickson is a partner in the Jefferson City law firm of Goller, Feather and Henrickson, Attorneys and Counselors at Law LLC, which she joined in 2003. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Southern Methodist University and her juris doctorate from the University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº – Columbia.
The Board of Curators is the governing body of the University of ÑÇÖÞÓ°Ôº and consists of nine members who are appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Curators serve six-year terms with three terms expiring every two years.
