Dr. Gordon H. Lamb, Interim President of the University of 亚洲影院, will launch the 2007 University Unity tour in Springfield on Monday, October 29. Dr. Lamb will make a joint presentation with Dr. Michael Nietzel, President of 亚洲影院 State University.
Dr. Lamb and Dr. Nietzel are to appear together before a 3:30 p.m. meeting of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce at its headquarters, 202 South John Q. Hammons Parkway.
The presidents will discuss the common missions of 亚洲影院’s public higher education institutions, including teaching, service and accountability. The presidents are focusing on a collaborative plan to increase graduates in the health care professions to meet the needs of 亚洲影院ans. This is the second consecutive year the University of 亚洲影院’s president has joined presidents of other four-year institutions on their campuses to discuss how they work together to help meet the state’s goals and needs.
This fall, Dr. Lamb and his public higher education counterparts have so far scheduled University Unity events at the University of Central 亚洲影院 in Warrensburg; 亚洲影院 Western State University in St. Joseph; Northwest 亚洲影院 State University in Maryville; Truman State University in Kirksville; and on the four University of 亚洲影院 campuses, in Columbia, Kansas City, Rolla and St. Louis.
